13/05:

Today was a very great day because a famous composer in Indonesia came to our Music class. He is Mr. James Sundah the composer of a song called 'lilin-lilin kecil', that song was sang by Chrisye.

He also played a piano in front of us. and well, He is a great composer :D

06/05:

Today Gregorius & Adryan were doing the singing assessment. overall it was pretty nice but i'm so disappointed because they didn't show their confident to the audiences, that was so pathetic. but i know that they were did their best. My classmates also gave them some comments to make their performance more better.

and after that, Mr. Herry told us to rehearsal on the jazz group performance. Fortunately the judges gave nice comments. So i'll practice more with my group for the quality of the song.

04/05:

today Mr. Herry distributed a feedback paper for us. he also played some jingle songs for us. so far, Tae hoon made the best jingle because it has a wonderful melody on it. So next week i'll concentrate & focus on my group assessment.

today Mr. Herry told us to do rehearsal on the song that we'll play. actually i will play a song called 'Shine a Light' by Mcfly, I play this song with my partner Annissa. we already play it nicely but we still need to memorize the lyric and i'm so ready for the assessment :)

Today Mr. Herry told us to rehearsal for a group performance. the other group were very good on playing their song. but fortunately my group wasn't that good. but Mr. Herry & friends gie me a feedback, so i'll do better next week.

Today was the presentation day, there are four groups in this class. Unfortunately my group haven't done the presentation but Mr. Herry was very nice and he gave us a chance till Friday. So i will do my best for the presentation :)

Today Mr. Herry told us about how to be a good student and he also discussed about the group presentation, me and my group were discussed about music in Jakarta, He told us to make a description for the presentation slides. So next week i will focus for group presentation

06/04:

Today is the first day of the last term for grade 10, Mr. Herry taught us about the music meanings, Jingle song and also how to make it. And the second week of April is the presentation Assessment. So next, i'll be prepare for all the projects.

11/03:

Today Mr. Herry was taught us about the scales. it's all about the major 7, minor 7, 9 and 11. i understood a bit on this. And he also gave us a worksheet to practice the scales. So next week i'll prepare for the Jazz group singing.

4/03:

Today was the assessment day for the 12 bars blues, and i was so happy with the assessment. I think i did the assessment very well and nothing wrong with it. But still i need to improve my composition. And next week i'll concentrate with performing group jazz song.

2/03:

Today Mr. Herry was checked our finale's hard copy and after that, he told us to do a rehearsal in the class on our own blues composition. My composition is kind of simple. So for this friday i'm gonna play with all my heart :)

Today Mr. Herry told us about the 12 bars blues, he was explained about 'how to make a good composition'. And finally i'm understood about it. Then we make the 12 bars composition for the assessment. Next, i'll make the song with Mr. john to make it more perfect.

Adrian - should make up the pitch control

Anissa- sometimes she looses the notes

Ardito- need to practice a lot

Anthony - problem on the pitch and tone

Jacintha - no power to sing

Fred - lack of confident

Greg - very cool, like a professional singer

Jenny - very nice voices, keep up with the intonation

Emas: very spectacular, but she should memorize the lyric

Martinus: need to improve the self-confident

Michelle: the best singer in the class. keep it up girl

Today actually is the assessment day for 'individual singing performance on jazz song'. But Mr.Herry is a kind person so today just for rehearsal day. and finally i choose a song called 'please baby don't ' by John Legend. and i will do my best in the assessment day :)

9/02:

Today Mr. Herry gave us a piece of paper to fill out and it's actually an essay reflection. we also sang a song called 'i got rhythm' as part of the score. i didn't perform well on this but i've tried my best to achieve a great scores.

2/02:

Today was the essay submission day, fortunately i submitted the essay on time. after that Mr. Herry shows us a video of jazz musicians, and it was really good. Mr. Herry also explained and played on 12 bars blues. i need to learn and practice the blues for next week.

26/01 :

Today, i was learnt about the jazz genre. Mr. Herry told us to make a group and my group were talked about 'the common difference between jazz and classical'. My group presented well. So for next week i'll work on my essay about Jazz which consist of 200-400 words.

Today Mr. Herry taught us about the type genre on jazz as he played on piano. He also told us to play in class on every instrument's player. and it's so good, so next week i'll learn more about Jazz music.

Today Mr. Herry was explained about the jazz models such as Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Myxoldian, Acolian, and Cocrian. Study about jazz is very interesting and next week i'll learn about the scale.
